4. Installation and Operation
1.Open the package carefully, and count all the parts in it according to the packing list.
2.For convenience of packing and shipping, some of the components are unassembled with the main product, and please assemble them
according to Figure 2 before use.
3.Operation steps:
(1)Select a working environment with no direct light on the device, keep the device away from a window and don't face a window directly,
because the direct light will affect the contrast of images and observation results. Working environment of the telescope:
a)Indoor temperature: 0℃~40℃; Maximum Relative Humidity: 85%
b) High temperature and relative humidity will cause mildew, condensation and damage to microscope.
c)Avoid placing the microscope in a dusty environment. When the microscope is not in use, it should be covered with a microscope dust
cover.
d)The microscope should be stably placed where it is flat and with no vibration.
(2)Carefully clamp the specimen slice in the clamps. When loading the slices, ensure that the cover glass is facing the objective lens,
otherwise, no image can be observed no matter how the focus is adjusted when using a high-magnification objective lens.
Turn the low-magnification (4X or 10X) to the working position, lift the platform until it touches the objective lens, and check whether the
limited lifting position is correct.
(3)Turn the low-power objective (4X or 10X) to the working position and turn on the power (or adjust the reflector Angle).
Attention: The supply voltage should be consistent with the calibration voltage of the microscope, otherwise it will lead to line damage and
safety accidents.
(4)Move the specimen slice so that the center of the slice is at the center of the condenser.
(5)Use the coarse handwheel (large) to adjust the focal length of the objective lens until the image of the specimen is bright and clear. When
operating, generally use a low-magnification objective lens to determine the approximate position of the focal plane, and use this to
understand the focusing direction of the focusing handwheel. Finally, use the micro handwheel (small) to fine-tune the image to obtain a
satisfactory clear image.
(6)After the fine focus is completed, if you turn the converter (3) to change other objective lenses for observation, you can see the image at
this time, but it may not be very clear, just adjust the fine-tuning handwheel (small) a little bit, this is because All objectives on a microscope
are parfocal and maintain the same center.
Notice:
Although the 4X and 10X objective lenses are integrally fixed, because of their long focal lengths, they will not break the specimen slices
during observation.
The focal lengths of 40X and 100X are very short, and the front lens is almost attached to the specimen cover glass during observation, but
because they have a spring device inside, they can expand and contract, so they will not easily break the specimen slice.
(7)In order to observe a clearer image, different diameters of the variable diaphragm (dial diaphragm or rainbow diaphragm) can be selected
according to the objective lens used.
5. Microscope Maintenance
1. Be careful when opening the box to prevent the lens and other accessories from falling and being damaged.
2. All lenses have been assembled and adjusted, please do not disassemble them by yourself.
3. The structure of the objective lens converter and the coarse and fine focus adjustment mechanism is compact, please do not disassemble
and assemble easily, if the instrument breaks down, please send it to a professional repair shop for repair.
4. The instrument should be kept clean, and the dust should be removed frequently. The sliding parts should be regularly coated with a small
amount of non-corrosive grease. When cleaning, special attention should be paid not to pollute the optical parts.
5.The instrument should be placed in a cool and dry place. After use, the power must be cut off and cover the microscope with a microscope
dust cover. If it is not used for a long time, it is best to unscrew the objective lens and put it in the mirror box, and screw the dust-proof cover
on the converter.
