Commissioning
Follow the instructions provided below before you begin:
- The machine must be positioned so that it is stable and safe against slipping. Provide enough
space around your log splitter so you can operate it safely.
- Make sure that no unauthorized person (especially children) can approach your work area.
- Before commissioning, all safety and protection devices must have been correctly placed. Check
if all screws, bolts, hydraulic couplings and pipe clamps have been tightened correctly. Before
each start, always make sure that the hydraulic oil level is correct.
- This machine should never be used when it is in an inoperable condition or needs some
maintenance. Before using this log splitter, familiarize yourself with its controls
security elements and how they work.
- Make sure that the data indicated on the information label conforms to the data of your electrical
network before connecting your log splitter.
Size of firewood
1. Choose your workplace with your safety standards in mind. Have the logs to be cracked ready
to be picked up easily. Remove ready-made firewood from the work area.
2. Before cracking the logs, separate those that are more than 52 cm. The maximum diameter is
30 cm.
3. 3. Do not keep the machine under full load for more than 5 seconds.
NOTE: NEVER ATTEMPT TO CRACK GREEN WOOD. DRY WOOD IS MUCH EASIER TO
DIVIDE THAN GREEN, WET LOGS.
Application
IMPORTANT: There is a breath plug on the left side of the machine. Every time you want to start
your work, you need to loosen this plug about four turns to ensure good air circulation in the oil
tank. Before transporting this machine, close this cap to prevent oil leakage. If you leave the vent
plug tight while working, hydraulic movements will cause an overpressure that can damage your
machine.
1. To ensure a longer life of your machine, apply a little grease to the sliding surfaces always after
use (cleaning the area beforehand).
2. Always place the power cord so that it cannot be damaged (by your work).
3. Open the vent plug. Open the hydraulic oil tank cap for a few turns each time you start your
work. Completely close the lid of the hydraulic oil tank after work.
4. Check the operating direction of the engine.
CAUTION: NEVER RUN THE ENGINE IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. THIS WILL INEVITABLY
LEAD TO DAMAGE TO THE PUMPING SYSTEM, AS A RESULT OF WHICH YOU WILL NO
LONGER BE ENTITLED TO CLAIM UNDER WARRANTY.
5. If you want to run this log splitter at very low temperatures, run the machine at rest for 15
minutes before starting work to allow the hydraulic oil to warm up.
5. If necessary and in order to reduce the risks of accident, immediately remove the cut wood
from your work area and stack it.
5. After you have finished your work, allow the cutting blade to return to its starting position. Then
stop the engine and disconnect the machine from its power supply and let the machine cool down.
After that, you need to clean and lubricate it. This log splitter can only be stored in a dry and clean
place. Make sure the oil tank has the lid tightly closed and no oil will come out during storage.
