6. As thesnow throwerstarts to move,maintaina firm holdon the
handle,and guide the snowthroweralongthe pathto be cleared.
7. Releasethe auger and drivecontrolsto stop the snowthrowing
actionand forwardmotion.
NOTE:Yourunit is equippedwith a clutch in the transmission. I f the
wheelsstop turningwhiletrying to dischargelargevolumesof snow,
immediately disengagethe drivecontroland allowthe rotatingaugers
to dischargesnow fromthe housing.Reducetheclearingwidthand
continueoperation.
8. On eachsucceedingpass,readjustthe chute assemblyto the
desiredpositionand slightlyoverlapthe previouslyclearedpath.

Yourunit is equippedwith a 3-speedpowerpropelleddrive system.
Speedposition 1,whenthe leveris depressed all the way downtoward
the motor,is Slow. Speedposition2 is a little fasterand 3 is the
fastest. See Figure8.

To operatethis function,followthese instructions:
1. Shift yoursnow throweronly whilethe engineis running.
2. Releasedrive controlhandlebeforeshifting.

Loosenthechuteknobandpivotupperchuteto desiredposition.Tighten
thechuteknobmakingsurethecarriageboltis correctlypositioned.

WARNING:Do not lift the snowthrower at any time
by the chutehandle.
Operating
Tips
1. Formostefficient s nowremoval, r emove snowimmediately a fterit falls.
2. Dischargesnowdownwindwheneverpossible.Slightlyoverlap
eachpreviouspath.
3. Set theskid shoes 1/4" belowthe shaveplatefor normalusage.
Theskid shoes may be adjustedupwardfor hard-packed snow.

NOTE:It is not recommended that youoperatethis snowthroweron
gravelas loosegravelcan be easily pickedup and thrownbythe auger
causingpersonalinjuryand/or damageto the snowthrower.
4. If for some reason,you haveto operatethe snowthroweron gravel,
keepthe skid shoe in the highestpositionfor maximumclearance
betweenthe groundand the shaveplate.
5. Cleanthe snowthrowerthoroughlyafter eachuse.
Cleaning The Chute Assembly
The clean-outtoolis convenientlyfastenedto the auger housingwith a
mountingclip.
Whensnow and ice collectin the chuteassemblyduringoperation,
usethis tool to safelyclean thechute and chute opening.Followthe
stepsbelowto operateit.

WARNING: Stopengine by moving throttle leverto
stop positionand wait for all moving partsto stop
before using the clean-outtool.
1. Releasebothauger and drivecontrols.
2. Stoptheengine by movingthrottleleverto stop position.
3. Removethe clean-outtool from the clipwhich securesit to the rear
of the auger housing.
4. Usethe shovel-shaped end of the clean-outtoolto dislodgeand
scoop anysnow and ice whichhas formedin and nearthe chute
assembly.

ARNING:Never use your handsto clean snowand
icefrom the chuteassembly or auger housing.
5. Re-fasten the clean-outtool, with the handleon the rightside of the
housing,to the mountingclip on the auger housing.Youcan start
operatingyoursnow throwernow. See Figure9.
