*1 Th e settable temperature ranges vary, depending on th e indoor unit model.

depending on th e indoor unit model.
*3 Th e same values are used for th e set temperature for Cool/ Drying mode and th e
cooling set temperature for Auto mode (dual set points) . Likew ise, th e same values
are used for th e set temperature for Heat mode and th e h eating set temperature for
Auto mode (dual set points) .
*4 Th e cooling and h eating set temperatures can be set under th e follow ing conditions.
- Th e cooling set temperature is greater th an th e h eating set temperature.
- The difference bet een the cooling and heating set temperatures is equal or
greater than the minimum temperature difference that varies ith the indoor unit
model.
4. The smart way to use
Even minimal steps to care for your air conditioner can help mak e its use far
more effective in terms of air conditioning effect, electricity charges, etc.
Set the right room temperature
In cooling operation, a temperature difference of about 5°C [9°F] bet een indoors
and outdoors is optimum.
If th e room temperature is raised by 1°C [ 2°F] during air-cooling operation, about
10% electric pow er can be saved.
Excessive cooling is bad for h ealth . It also results in th e w aste of electric pow er.
Clean the filter thoroughly
If the screen of the air filter becomes clogged, the air o and air-conditioning effect
can be significantly reduced.
Furth er, if th e condition is left unattended, failure can result. It is particularly
important to clean the filter at the beginning of the cooling and heating seasons.
(When profuse dust and dirt have accumulated, clean the filter thoroughly.)
5. Caring for the machine
Al ays have filter maintenance performed by a service person. efore care
tak ing, turn the power supply O FF.
Caution:
B efore you start cleaning, stop operation and turn O FF the power supply.
Remember that the fan is rotating inside at high speed, posing a serious risk
of injury.
Indoor units are equipped
ith filters to remove the dust of suc ed in air.
Clean the filters follo ing the procedures on the right. (The standard filter
should normally be cleaned once a
beginning of each season.)
The life of the filter depends on

Prevent intrusion of heat during air-cooling
To prevent th e intrusion of h eat during cooling operation, provide a curtain or a blind
on th e w indow to block out direct sunligh t. Also, do not open th e entrance or exit
except in cases of dire necessity.
Carry out ventilation sometimes
Since th e air periodically gets dirty in a room th at is kept closed for a long time,
ventilation is sometimes necessary. Wh en gas appliances are used togeth er w ith
th e air conditioner, special precautions must be taken. If th e " LOSSNAY" ventilation
unit developed by our company is used, you can perform ventilation w ith less
w aste. For details on th is unit, consult w ith your dealer.
How to clean
Clear dust aw ay ligh tly or clean it up w ith a vacuum cleaner. In th e case of severe
staining, ash the filter in luke arm ater mixed ith dissolved neutral detergent
or ater, and then rinse off the detergent completely. After ashing, dry it and fix it
back into place.
Caution:
Do not dry the filter by exposing it to direct sunlight or
etc. Doing so can result in the deformation of the filter.
W ashing it in hot water (more than 50 ° C [122° F]) can also result in
deformation.
Caution:
Never pour
ater or flammable sprays onto the air conditioner. Cleaning using
these methods can result in the failure of the air conditioner, electric shock , or
fire.
