PRODUCT OPERATION
ENGINE STARTING
ATTENTION: Keep the blades away from any objects around you that may start to move when you
start the engine.
1.
Place the engine knob in the ignition position "I".
2.
Press the choke until the excess fuel comes out of the tube.
3.
Move the choke lever to the closed position.
4.
Place the unit on a flat, firm surface. Keep the cutting head free of any objects around it and while holding
the unit firmly, pull the starter handle.
5.
When the engine attempts to start, return the choke lever to the open position.
6.
Pull the starter knob again and the engine will start.
7.
Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before starting operation.
8.
Overcharging can make it difficult to start the engine because of excess fuel. If the engine does not start
after several attempts, open the starter and repeat the process of pulling the rope, or remove the spark plug
and dry it.
ATTENTION: Avoid pulling the starter all the way back or making it come back by releasing it
abruptly. This could cause starter failure.
ENGINE STOPPING
To stop the engine, simply turn the engine switch to the off position "O".
NOTE: If the engine does not stop after releasing the button, close the starter and accelerate to
stop the engine.
ADJUSTING THE IDLE SPEED
Before adjusting the carburetor, clean the air filter and warm the engine.
You should adjust the idle speed screw to ensure a good safety margin between idle and clutch ring operation.
ATTENTION: At engine idle speed (3000 rpm), the blade should not rotate.
HANDLE
To reduce fatigue when cutting hedges, the handle can be rotated up to 90° to the
right or left.
ATTENTION: Switch off the engine whenever you want to
manipulate the handle rotation.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Release the handle by pressing the lock lever.
2.
Turn the handle until the lock lever clicks into place.
