USE
Insert the camshaft adjustment tool (2) into the access holes on the
cylinder head.
Make sure that the tool engages in the intended profile of the
camshafts.
Carefully insert the piston height adjustment tools (3) into the spark
plug threads of cylinders 1+2 and tighten with 5Nm.
Carefully turn the crankshaft until both tools are at the same height,
this means that all pistons are aligned at the same height.
Note: On some engines such as 192B2.000, 198A1.000, 198A4.000
and 199A6.000, cylinders 3+4 must be used for alignment.
Insert the belt tensioner adjusting tool (4) into the two holes in the
belt tensioner to tension the belt by turning the belt tensioner.
Camshaft sprocket locking tool (5) is required to fix the camshaft
sprocket (VVT unit) when loosening and tightening. (see chapter tool
use)
