Start-up
For use, you need 2 batteries of type LR03 (AAA), 1.5 V (included). The battery
compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Open the battery compartment by pushing the locking tab towards the scale and
removing the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert the batteries as indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment. Pay
attention to the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
The locking tab must snap audibly into place.
Suggestions for changing the battery:
‚ A change of batteries becomes necessary when "Lo" appears on the
display, or when nothing at all is displayed.
‚ Only use the type of battery that is specified in the "Technical data".
‚ Always change all batteries at the same time.
‚ Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally appropriate way (see
"Disposal").
Choosing the unit of measurement
On delivery, the unit of measurement is set to "lb" (pound) by default. However, the
measurement result can also be displayed in the measurement unit "kg".
1. Step or press once briefly with little force on the weighing surface.
The display shows "0.0" and the set measurement unit, e.g. "lb".
2. Select the desired measurement unit using the button
Note the indication on the display.
When you enter your body data later, you must enter your height in in feet
("ft") for "lb" and centimeters ("cm") for "kg". These measurement units are
permanently linked.
Setting up the scale
– Place the scale on an even, firm and dry surface. Do not place the scale on a carpet.
