The kitchen furniture, including carrier material, surface coating, adhesives and seals
must have adequate heat resistance in accordance with DIN 68930:2009-11.
Install extractor hoods according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Hob installation steps
Below are the installation steps for a hob with retaining clamps:
The worktop in which the glass ceramic hob is to be installed must be at least 38 mm
thick. It must lie horizontally and be sealed at the wall to prevent liquids from
overflowing.
The cut edges of the worktop must be sealed with special lacquer or cast resin to
prevent swelling due to moisture.
The distance between the cut edges must be at least 50 mm; 150 mm to a left or right
wall. The cut-out must be in the middle of the furniture base.
Check the circumferential seal for intactness and perfect position.
Place the hob in the prepared cut-out with the cables first.
Fix the hob to the worktop from below using the supplied retaining clamps (A) and
screws (B) on each corner of the hob. Take into account the thickness of the worktop
and check that the hob is seated correctly. Now screw the screws evenly into the holes
on the underside of the hob until the installation zone is firmly seated on the worktop.
NOTE
When installing the appliance, do not block the ventilation
openings around the appliance with the surrounding worktop.
On this appliance the sealing tape is already attached to the
underside. Do not remove the sealing tape as it prevents liquids
and spilled food from entering the underside of the appliance.
Do not use silicone for sealing. Silicone makes it difficult to
remove the appliance and thus makes future customer service
more difficult.
If this appliance is installed above an oven
With the power supply switched off, connect the oven to the mains power supply, slide
the oven a little into the previously prepared conversion cabinet and connect it to the
hob.
Insert the plug at the end of the hob cable bundle into the corresponding sockets in the
oven switch panel according to the colour markings, i.e. plug with black marking
matches the socket with black marking etc. Make sure to connect the earth cable
(green/yellow) of the hob to the connection terminal (copper screw).
Slide the oven completely into the conversion cabinet and secure.
