6. Installation
Note - Installation
• We recommend initially positioning the base station and
measuring station at the preferred setup locations without
installing them and carrying out all the settings - as described
in 6. Operation - rst.
• Do not install the station(s) until the settings are correct and
the radio connection is stable.
Note
• The range of the radio transmission between the measuring
station and the base station is up to 50m in unobstructed
areas.
• Before installing, make sure that the radio transmission is not
in uenced by interfering signals or obstacles such as buildings,
trees, vehicles, high-voltage power lines, etc.
• Before nal installation, make sure that there is su cient
reception between the desired installation locations.
• When installing the measuring station, take care to ensure
this is positioned so that it is protected from direct sunlight
and rain.
• The international standard height for measuring air
temperature is 1.25 m (4 ft) above ground.
Warning
• Buy special or suitable installation material from a specialist
dealer for wall-mounting.
• Ensure that you do not install any faulty or damaged parts.
• Never apply force during assembly. These can damage the
product.
• Before mounting, check that the wall you have chosen is
suitable for the weight to be mounted. Also make sure that
there are no electric, water, gas or other lines running through
the wall at the mounting site.
• Do not mount the product above locations where persons
might sit or stand.
6.1 Base station
• Place the base station on a at surface using the stand (34).
• Alternatively, you can mount the base station on a wall using the
recess (31) on the back.
6.2 Measuring station
• You can also set up the measuring station on an even surface
outdoors.
• We recommend mounting the measuring station securely and
rmly onto an outdoor wall.
• Secure the dowel, screw, nail, etc. in the wall provided.
• Hang the measuring station onto it using the cut-out (37)
provided.

7. Operation
7.1 Connection to the measuring station
• After connection to the mains supply, the base station
automatically searches for a connection to the measuring station
and carries out the initial setup routine.
Note
• Initial setup takes around 3 seconds.
• The radio symbol Measuring station (8) ashes when searching
for a connection.
• Avoid any operation of the buttons during this time!
Otherwise, errors and inaccuracies may occur in the values
and their transmission.
• The process is nished as soon as the indoor and outdoor
measurement data are displayed.
If no signal is received from the measuring station on a repeated
basis, press and hold the CH button (G) for at least 3 seconds to
start the manual search for the signal.
Note - temperature display
"HH.H" is shown in the display (11) when the outdoor
temperature is above 50°C.
Note - faulty transmission of the measured
values
• In some cases, interference caused by a WiFi network,
computer, TV, etc., for example, may cause the transmission
of measured values between the base and measuring station
to fail.
• If this happens, resynchronise the stations by brie y removing
the batteries from both stations and reinserting them.
• If the measured values are not transmitted again, replace the
batteries with new ones.
• If necessary, choose a new location for the base station to
avoid the possible interference signals in the future.
• The measuring station and base station may be placed max.
50 m apart from each other.
• Stay at least 2.5 m away from interference
7.2 Channel selection / Additional outdoor sensors
Note
• You can install two further outdoor sensors in addition to the
outdoor sensor supplied. When doing so, ensure the same
channel setting on the base station and each outdoor sensor.
• Suitable outdoor sensors can be found at www.hama.com
• Channel 1 is pre-selected.
• Press the CH button (G) repeatedly to set the same channel as on
the outdoor sensor in question. Channel 1, 2 or 3 is displayed.
