After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster slots or push
the grill lever to put the bread on the multifunction grill. The required browning level
will be indicated on display.
•
Press the operating button downwards. The control lamp integrated into the Cancel
button glows. The progress will be indicated by LED countdown timer on display.
•
While the toaster is running the display will show the selected toasting level and the
remaining time. When the display shows 0 the toaster will stop automatically and the
slice of bread will automatically rise.
•
This appliance has a lifting function, which makes it easier and safer for you to take the
hot slices of toast from the toaster slots. For this, slide the operator handle upwards.
NOTES:
– When using only one toasting slot to toast food, the bread or food may be placed in
either toasting slot. The self-adjusting toasting slot holds food upright for uniform side-
to-side toasting.
– To prevent fire hazard, never place food over the opening of the toasting slot(s), but
always place food into the toasting slot(s).
CAUTION:
– DO NOT toast pastries with runny fillings or frosting.
– DO NOT toast torn slices of bread.
– DO NOT place buttered bread or wrapped food into the toaster.
– DO NOT toast small-size breads, mini-baguettes, bread sticks, etc.
Interrupting the process (Cancel button)
If you wish to interrupt the toasting process, press the Cancel button. The toaster switches
itself off.
Warming Function (Reheat button)
The warming function makes it possible for you to warm bread without browning it. For
example, toast that has gone cold. The bread is only briefly warmed.

Insert the bread and press the operating handle down.
•
Activate the button for the warming function. The control lamp integrated into the
button for the warming function glows. The progress will be indicated by LED
countdown timer on display.

The toaster switches itself off automatically, the control lamp extinguishes, and the
bread slices are ejected.
Defrost Function (Defrost button)
Through activation of the defrost function frozen bread can also be thawed. With this, the
toaster slowly warms the bread.

Insert the bread and press the operating handle down.
