Ultraheat
NOTICE
Damage to control panel cable from over-
heating.
Do not install on or fix the control panel cable to
heaters, exhaust ducts, fans or warm air ducts.
This does not include the branching wires to the
temperature switch.
Fix the cable adequately at a suitable location
(minimum gap: 5 cm).
If applicable, connect the room temperature sen-
sor*. See "Installing the room temperature sensor".
If applicable, install the fan in accordance with the
fan installation instructions.
Install the installation box in the vehicle in ac-
cordance with the installation instructions for the
S-heater.
If applicable, connect the warm air distributor to the
fan.
NOTICE
Damage to control unit from overheating.
If a fan is installed without warm air ducts, hot
air can blow directly on to the control unit.
Connect warm air ducts to the fan correctly
and secure with a screw.
Carry out any remaining heater installation steps
as described in the installation instructions for the
S-heater.

Fig. 19

When using vehicle-specific or manufacturer-specif-
ic control panels, the electrical connection must be
made according to the Truma interface descriptions.
Any modifications to the associated Truma parts
will invalidate the warranty and preclude any liability
claims. The installer (manufacturer) is responsible for
providing the user with operating instructions and
the information that is printed on the control panels.

4.5.1 Selecting a location
Choose the installation location so that neither the
front or back of the control panel is subject to di-
rect heat radiation as the control panel contains the
room temperature sensor.
The installation location must be protected against
moisture and wetness.
The control panel cable (Fig. 19-2) is 5 m long. If
necessary, it can be extended to 10 m with a 5 m
cable extension (part no. 34300-01).
If flush mounting is not possible, a surface-mounted
frame (part no. 40000-06400) (Fig. 19-8) may be
used.
If it is only possible to install the control panel be-
hind curtains or in a similar location with fluctuating
temperatures, a room temperature sensor FFC 2
(part no. 34201-01) must be used.
Choose a suitable location to install the control
panel.
Drill a 55 mm diameter hole (Fig. 19-1).
Feed the control panel cable from the heater
(Fig. 19-2) forward through the hole.
Connect the control panel cable (Fig. 19-3) to the
control panel (Fig. 19-5).
Attach the back blank cover (Fig. 19-4) to the control
panel as strain relief.
Fasten the control panel (Fig. 19-5) with 4 suitable
screws (Fig. 19-6). These screws are not included
with delivery.
Attach the cover frame (Fig. 19-7).

For a more visually appealing finish, side parts (part
no. 34000-66800) (Fig. 19-9) can be attached.

Installing the room temperature

sensor*
By connecting the remote sensor to the control unit,
the temperature sensor in the control panel becomes
ineffective.
9
Fig. 20

The room temperature sensor must not be placed
close to external heat sources (cookers, lamps, op-
posite warm air outlets etc.) or in locations in which
heat can accumulate (below shelves, in corners, be-
hind curtains).
Choose a suitable location to install the room tem-
perature sensor.
Drill a 10 mm diameter (Fig. 20) hole.
Connect the cable with cable eyelets to the room
temperature sensor. Polarity is unimportant.
