GENERAL INFORMATION
INTRODUCTION
 WARNING
Observe all the safety information, instructions, illustrations and technical
data that were supplied with the saw buck. Failure to comply with instruc-
tions may lead to serious injuries.
Keep the operating instructions in a safe place for future reference.
These operating instructions describe the Saw Buck 5121000 (the "product").
The purpose of the illustrated figures in this manual is to help you better under-
stand the descriptions and step sequences. The representations in the figures are
examples and may deviate slightly from the actual appearance of your product.

perform your tasks.
Warning of a danger
This symbol indicates a general hazard that, if not avoided, could res-
ult in injury.
Risk of crush injuries to hands
This symbol indicates hazardous situations that could result in hand in-
juries.
Observe instructions!
This symbol indicates that the operating instructions must be followed.
The following additional symbols can be found in the instructions and on a sticker
on the left supporting leg:
Wear hearing protection, head protection and safety goggles.
This symbol indicates that you have to wear hearing protection, a pro-
tective helmet and safety goggles or a visor.
Wear protective equipment.
This symbol indicates that you have to wear protective equipment (pro-
tective helmet, safety goggles or visor, hearing protection, (woodwork-
ing) gloves, safety trousers and safety footwear).
Caution: Always lock both wooden boards into place on the tubular
frame!
Do not use as a step, ladder or support.
Only use on a flat and solid horizontal surface.

SAFETY
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
– When using a chainsaw, only one person may work at the saw buck.
– To ensure stability, the saw buck must only be used on a flat and solid hori-
zontal surface. Otherwise there is a risk of the saw buck tipping over.
– The safety regulations of the machine manufacturers are binding. Failure to
follow the operating instructions for the machines can be life-endangering.
– Use only approved machines.
– Unplug all electric chainsaws before carrying out maintenance work or when
not in use.
– Before starting work, check that the saw buck, machines and tools are opera-
tional and correctly assembled (e.g. threaded connections).
– Never work with damaged or blunt tools.
– Secure the wood with the stop bar before sawing it. Working without the stop
bar is not permitted.
– Make sure that your footing is secure when using a machine.
– Only use machines and tools for their actual intended purpose in accordance
with the operating instructions.
– Do not make any technical modifications to the saw buck.
– Never remove installed safety equipment.
– Make sure that your clothes are close fitting (particularly sleeves) and protect
your hair. Tie up long hair.
– Always wear personal protective equipment, such as an approved protective
helmet, safety goggles or visor, hearing protection, (woodworking) gloves,
safety trousers and safety footwear, when working.
– Never reach into machines that are in operation.
– Keep children away from your work area and store your machines and tools
securely.
– Keep other people away from your work area while sawing.
– Never allow inexperienced people to use your machines and tools without in-
struction or supervision.
– When sawing, always maintain adequate clearance between the chainsaw
blade and the steel elements of the saw buck.
– Always work to plan and in a concentrated way.
