Ride at a suitable speed where you have control.
•
Always brake using the back pedal brake.
•
When parking, make sure that the go-kart cannot drive away, by turning the steering to the right or
left steering position.
•
Do not place any unnecessary object on or against the steering wheel/ handlebar. Make sure that
the steering wheel/ handlebar always functions properly.
•
Do not operate the electrical parts while driving. Steering the go-kart using only one hand could
result in accidents and injuries.
2.2.3 Trailer
If a trailer is connected to the go-kart, you must remember that the braking distance will be longer. The
trailers from BERG may not be hooked on the go-kart while standing on steep slopes. No people are
allowed in the trailer. For the maximum load weight for the trailer please refer to the trailer User's Guide.
2.2.4 Brakes
The go-kart is equipped with a special hub. With this hub it is possible while riding forwards to pedal
backwards so that the braking function in the rear wheel comes into action. While doing so, the brake
function is being operated. Besides that it is also possible to ride backwards.
2.3 Restrictions for use
•
Do not ride backwards at great speeds. Doing this could make you lose control.
•
Collisions or other stunts increase the chance of injury to both the user and the product and are not
allowed.
•
Avoid contact with moving parts while riding the product.
•
Do not get on or off the product while it is moving.
•
Do not overload the product. Maximum user weight is 50 kg (110 lbs).
•
Never ride in the dark without lights.
•
NEVER use this product on hills or slopes (up- or downhill) accidents can occur! Increased braking
distance. Risk of tipping over.
•
Protect the product from moisture, do not use outside when it is raining.
2.4 Accessories
Only original BERG accessories may be used. BERG has a range of accessories with which you can adapt
the go-kart entirely to your own wishes. You can find all the accessories at www.bergtoys.com.
For correct use and installation of an accessory please refer to the accompanying manual.
All accessories should be assembled by an adult and supervised by an adult during use.
2.5 Disposal and recycling information
This product must be disposed separately from the ordinary household wastes at its end of life because
it contains batteries and electrical parts. For information about where to recycle contact your local
waste disposal authority or the retailer where you bought the product.
3. Maintenance
Some maintenance is necessary in order to use the BERG product and have fun with it for a long time.
