Cleaning and maintenance
Problem
The hose makes a
buzzing noise.
The temperature
indicator light does
not illuminate.
Storage
• Before storing the steam iron, ensure that it has cooled and
dried thoroughly.
• Ensure that the water tank is empty before storing it.
• Bundle the cord in the base storage. Never cram them tightly
as this could cause damage.
• Position the steam iron onto the rubber support of the base
unit. This will help to prevent the ceramic soleplate from getting
scratched.
• Store in a cool, dry place.
Possible Cause
• The hose is tangled.
• The iron is in a
position much too
higher than the base
unit. Water from the
base unit reaches
the iron through the
hose. Therefore, the
hose will make a
buzzing noise.
• The fuse has blown.
• T h e i ro n i s n o t
connected to the
mains power supply.

above the base unit but not too high.

person.
• Plug the iron to the mains power supply
and set the desired temperature using
the temperature control dial.
