INSTALLATION
Configuration #2 - No Quick Disconnect, Shut-off Valve Only
Contents: Full Port Gas Shut-off Valve, Gas Connector Hose, 90° Elbow, Restraining Kit
Appliance Side
1. Apply pipe thread sealant/thread tape to the NPT stub-out side of the appliance.
2. Attach NPT Female to Female 90° Elbow onto the appliance NPT stub-out and tighten with a wrench.
3. Apply thread sealant/thread tape to the NPT threads of the Gas Connector Hose.
4. Thread the Gas Connector Hose into the NPT Female to Female 90° Elbow on the stub-out and
tighten with a wrench.
Gas Supply Side
1. Apply thread sealant/thread tape to the NPT threads
on the gas supply nipple.
2. Use the 90° Elbow included in the kit if needed to
better position the gas hose. If used, apply thread
sealant/thread tape and tighten with wrench.
3. Install the Optional Full Port Gas Valve and tighten with
a wrench.
4. Apply thread sealant/thread tape to the NPT threads
of the Krowne Gas Connector Hose.
5. Thread the Krowne Gas Connector Hose into the NPT
Gas Shut-off and tighten with a wrench.
6. Go to Completing the Installation and follow the
remaining required steps. The final assembly must be
checked for leaks.
Completing the Installation
1. Ensure that all connections have been tightened using wrenches.
2. Perform a leak test following the regulations mentioned in Step 12 - 15 on Pg. 4.
3. Push the appliance back into its normal position and make sure that the connection is correctly
positioned and is not experiencing any stress from over-bending or kinking.
The final assembly must be checked for leaks.
