Control Panel
The speed control knob on the base of the food processor has 4 positions, providing you
with fingertip control of operation.

1.
PULSE: Use the PULSE function for short bursts of power at the optimum speed. This
function is controlled by the user, which means the PULSE function will operate for as
long as the speed control knob is held in the PULSE position. The food processor will
shut off as soon as pressure on the speed control knob is released. This function is a
useful way to avoid over-processing foods, since you control the processing duration
and frequency of pulses by the length of time and rate you hold the speed control
knob.
Helpful Tip: Allow enough time between pulses to let food in the processing bowl fall to
the bottom.
2.
OFF: The OFF position is used to turn off the food processor after the unit has finished
processing the food. To turn the power base off, move the speed control knob to the
OFF position, and then unplug the food processor from the electrical outlet.
3.
LOW: Turning the speed control knob to LOW offers continuous operation at a slower
speed (approximately 2300 RPM) and is generally used for softer foods.
4.
HIGH: Turning the speed control knob to HIGH offers continuous operation at a higher
speed (approximately 3100 RPM) and is generally used for harder foods or for shorter
food processing times. This is also the ideal speed setting when using the reversible
plate attachment (containing the slicing or shredding plate).
