Wipe the power base with a damp cloth, sponge or paper towel. Ensure that
the safety interlock mechanism area is clear of any debris. DO NOT immerse the
power base, cord or plug in water or run water over the base, cord or plug. Dry
the surface of the power base thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth or paper towel
before storing the food processor.
Helpful Tip: Some foods may discolor the plastic. This is normal and the discoloration
will not harm the plastic or affect the flavor of your food. Rub the plastic with a soft
cloth dipped in vegetable oil to remove the discoloration and then wash thoroughly
with warm, soapy water. To remove strong odors left by other foods, such as garlic, soak
the accessories and attachments for approximately 5 minutes in 4 cups (1 liter) of water
mixed with a ¼ cup of lemon juice.
Storage
Before storing the food processor, thoroughly dry all parts and reassemble the unit. The
knife blade attachment can be stored inside the bowl, with the plate carrier and revers-
ible plate attachment installed on the drive shaft. Store the appliance upright, in a cool,
dry location that is easily accessible. DO NOT place any heavy items on top of the food
processor or any of its parts during storage, as this may result in possible damage to the
appliance. For added storage convenience, the food processor features a power supply
cord wrap, which is located on the underside of the power base.
