Product usage
Using the barbecue
This barbecue can be used to cook meats and vegetables outdoors.
WARNING:
•
To prevent the risk of electrocution, turn off and unplug the unit from the wall
socket before cleaning it.
•
Make sure that the barbecue is clean before each use.
•
Check that the information provided on the barbecue's rating plate matches
the mains socket voltage.
•
To avoid burns, do not touch any part of the barbecue while it is heating up, in
use or cooling down. Use protective gloves, such as oven mitts, when using
the unit.
•
Never use the unit without water in the drip tray.
•
Never move the barbecue when it is hot or the drip tray contains hot water,
oil or grease. Allow the unit to cool completely before moving it.
•
Do not use excessive oil or grease when barbecuing food. Using too much oil
or grease could cause a fire. If necessary, use a basting brush to apply a thin
layer of oil or grease to food.
•
Do not adjust the height of the large grill when it is in use or hot.
Fill the drip tray will cold water to the maximum level mark.
ATTENTION:
•
When cooking, always fill the drip tray with water, as this reduces the risk of
oil or grease catching fire.
•
Never allow the water level to rise above the maximum level mark. Use a jug
to add more water, as and when needed.
•
If the drip tray is full, carefully empty the oil or grease that has collected.
Wait for the unit to cool completely before emptying it.
•
Fully unwind the power cable. Arrange the power cable in such a way as to ensure that it
cannot be pulled by children or animals, and does not pose a tripping hazard.
•
Plug the power cable into the mains socket.
•
Switch on the barbecue and set it to the maximum temperature by turning the thermostat
knob until MAX and the triangle symbol are aligned. Preheat the barbecue for 1 minute
before starting to cook food. The maximum temperature is 200 °C.
•
The indicator light will come on when the barbecue is heating up and turn off when the
set temperature is reached.
•
During use, the indicator light will cycle on and off as the heating element automatically
turns on and off to keep the temperature at the level selected via the thermostat button.
•
Turn the thermostat knob anticlockwise to reduce the temperature.
•
Remove any excess juice from the food before placing it directly on the grill.
