B E F O R E FI RST USE
Before you start using the kettle, make sure your supply voltage is the same as that indicat-
ed below the kettle. Place the power base on a stable, level surface. Uncoil the power cord
from under the base.
The kettle should be filled with water to the maximum mark and boiled 2 or 3 times. The
boiled water should be discarded and the inside of the kettle rinsed with cold water (if the
water is very hard, a deposit of dust may form or the water tends to appear cloudy. This is a
normal calcium buildup and is in no way harmful).

CAUTION: If you have just boiled water, the appliance will be full of steam. Open the lid with
caution, as it could cause burns due to the steam contained inside.
1. Remove the kettle from the electric base.
2. Lift the lid carefully to allow any excess steam to escape.
3. Fill the kettle with at least 2 cups of water. Do not fill above the "max" line.
4. If overfilled, boiling water may overflow from the kettle and may cause burns.
5. Replace the lid making sure to achieve a proper seal.
SW ITCH E D O N
1. Plug the power base into a wall outlet.
2. Place the kettle on a flat, stable surface.

5. Do not remove the kettle when it is in the heating cycle.
6. Once the water has boiled, the kettle and indicator light will turn off. Remove the kettle
from the base and carefully pour out the water.
CAUTION: Stay away as steam will come out of the spout when boiling.
If you want to boil the water again, please turn on the switch after one minute to avoid any
misoperation. Make sure there is enough water in the kettle.
When not in use, unplug the kettle from the power supply and place the kettle on the base.
O FF
1. Once the water has boiled, the device will turn off by itself.
2. To switch it off manually, lift the switch or remove the kettle from the base.
G E NE R A L I N D ICATION S
• Always lift the kettle by the handle to serve. The sides can be very hot.
• To avoid the risk of splashing, pour slowly and do not tilt the kettle too much.
• Do not tilt the kettle backwards.
• There may be some discoloration on the bottom of the kettle. This is due to the bonding of
the material to the bottom of the boiler.
• Do not use with insufficient water.
• Using the kettle with insufficient water will shorten the life of the element.
• If the kettle is accidentally switched on when it does not contain enough water, a boil dry
cutout will switch the kettle off.
