Applying Torque (Fig. A, D—F)
WARNING : Familiarise yourself with operation and
feedback before use.
1. Ensure the socket is firmly and securely connected to the
fastener and wrench.
2. Hold the wrench handle
NOTE: Do not use accessories or an extension.
3. Using smooth effort, pull the wrench at 90° to the handle.
4. Ensure a smooth, gradual increase of force toward the
target value and status lights.
5. The wrench will produce an audible clicking when it
reaches 100% of the target value.
6. Stop tightening.
Maintenance
1. Clean your torque wrench with a dry cloth. Do not use
any solvent or detergent.
2. Never dismantle.
3-Point Calibration Certificate:
Torque testing and adjustment at 20%, 60% and 100% of
the torque wrench capacity, within the standard's tolerances.
Issuing of a numbered and dated declaration of conformance.
Checking Tool Accuracy and
Document Updates:
The PROTO® metrological laboratory will issue calibration
certificates upon request.
Calibration
An annual recalibration or after 5000 uses, is necessary to
maintain accuracy. Please contact your local dealer to schedule.
We advise you to have your torque wrench checked regularly
on a test rig or by the PROTO® metrological laboratory (about
once a year, or more often for intensive use or if dropped).
Repairs
The charger and batteries are not serviceable. There are no
serviceable parts inside the charger or battery pack.
WARNING: To assure product SAFETY and
RELIABILITY, repairs, maintenance and adjustment
(includingPROTO® brush inspection and replacement,
when applicable) should be performed by a PROTO®
factory service center or a PROTO®‑authorized service
center. Always use identical replacement parts.

branded products, including products sold by PROTO® Industrial
Tools that are marketed as products "by PROTO®", for the useful life
of the product against defects in material or workmanship.

Defects in material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced
at no cost. All other repairs will be at a nominal charge. Torque
products are precise measuring devices that require care in
handling. PROTO® recommends that all torque wrenches be
recalibrated once a year or more, depending on usage.
One Year Limited Warranty
PROTO® torque wrenches are guaranteed for 1 year from the
date of purchase against any defect or manufacturing fault,
and 90 days for calibration accuracy. PROTO® accessories and
wear parts are covered by the legally enforced guarantee. This
guarantee does not cover the following cases: normal wear,
non compliance of instructions of use and safety guidelines,
nonconventional or abusive use of the tool, tool overloading, lack
of servicing or maintenance, intrusion of foreign bodies, tools
which have been disassembled or modifed, or featuring traces of
shock (dents, cracks, broken covers, etc.), use with poor quality or
non‑compatible accessories.
To use the guarantee, provide: the tool with its serial number as
well as the legible and unmarked original invoice designating
the product and its date of purchase. Detailed conditions of
application of the guarantee: call your distributor. This lifetime
warranty is subject to the disclaimers and limitations described
below, and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied,
including the implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may
have other rights which vary in certain states or provinces.
FREE WARNINg LABEL REPLACEMENT: If your warning
