GRINDING REGULATION
If the drink is extracted very quickly, it means the coffee is ground too coarsely. If, on
the other hand, extraction is very slow, it means the coffee is ground too finely. Note,
however, that there are many factors that can influence proper dispensing, such as the
weight of the dose and cleanliness of the filters.
Grinder calibration
The grinders must be calibrated after the first installation and each time they are
changed.
The presence of any coffee between the grinders may alter the calibration result.
It is therefore advisable, before starting the calibration procedure, to thoroughly clean
the grinders and the entire grinding system following the instructions in the chapter,
"Cleaning and maintenance".
Before replacing the grinders, check that the appliance switch is set to "0" and unplug
the power cord from the socket.
After replacing the grinders, ensure the machine is properly reassembled with the
assistance of a qualified operator. Then start the machine in manual mode and slowly
close the regulation ring nut until the grinders start to touch. Now stop the machine
and reset the micrometer scale, making the zero point on the scale coincide with the
reference point.
At the end of the procedure, separate the grinders using the regulation ring nut.
