4. Installation instructions
4.1
Preparations
1. Unpack pump and check for damage
2. Recycle packaging material
3. Check suction and discharge openings for for-
eign bodies or packaging material and remove
if necessary.
4.2
Assembly configuration
The pump can be installed in any position.
4.3
System dimensions
4.3.1
Pressure side
Each line system has a system characteristic curve
which shows the pressure loss as a function of the
flow rate. The following have an influence on the
characteristic curve and thus on the flow rate:
•
Delivery height
•
Line length and diameter
•
Condition as well as accessories installed
i
Important:
The pump's performance data must
match the system characteristic curve.
If the system requires more pressure than the
pump can generate, the flow rate will be reduced
to zero.
In this case, reduce the system pressure losses by:
•
shorter lines,
•
accessories with lower pressure losses
(fewer bends, fittings, constrictions)
•
Reducing the delivery height
4.3.2
Suction side
The square-perforated sieve cap must be below
the level of the liquid.

5. Electrical connection of the pump
(12 VDC)
5.1
Connection via battery clamps
Connect the 4 m connection cable with terminal
clamps and cord switch to a suitable DC voltage
source (see technical data, Chapter 3 and type
plate):
•
Black:
Negative terminal (-)
•
Red:
Positive terminal (+)
i
Important:
In the black holder on the connection
cable there is a blade fuse compliant with
DIN 72581/3C.

Connection directly to a DC volt-
age source
Connection cable
•
Blue:
Negative terminal (-)

Brown:
Positive terminal (+)
Check technical data, Chapter 3 and type plate.
When connecting directly to a power supply unit,
the latter must have its own OFF/ON switch.
