NOTE: This unit is a tool only. In order to operate this pole chain
saw, you will need to additionally purchase either the iON100V-
2.5AMP or iON100V-5AMP lithium-ion battery and the 100V
quick charger (model iON100V-RCH). See page 23 for battery
options and specifications, or visit sunjoe.com.
1. Carefully remove the cordless pole chain saw and check
to see that all of the above items are supplied.
2. Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or
damage occurred during shipping. If you find damaged or
missing parts, DO NOT return the unit to the store. Please

Unpacking and assembly should be
completed on a flat and stable surface, with adequate space
for moving the machine and its packaging.
Installing/Replacing the Guide Bar
and Chain

Always wear heavy-duty gloves when
handling the bar and chain. Mount the bar and chain very
carefully so as not to impair the safety and efficiency of the
machine. If in doubt, contact an authorized Snow Joe

WARNING!
When installing/replacing the guide bar and
chain, use only identical replacement parts. Make sure the
battery is not inserted in its housing.
1. Using the supplied socket wrench, unscrew the sprocket
cover nut and remove the sprocket cover (Figs. 1 & 2).
