II. INSTALLATION
II.1. Legal obligations and recommendations relating to the installation of the product
Before installing the appliance, please read the instructions in this manual carefully. Failing to observe
these instructions might invalidate the warranty.
1. The installation of the product and any work on the product may be carried out only by a qualified
professional. You must comply with applicable national regulations. All of the stipulations relating to the
water heater must be observed.
2. The manufacturer does not accept any liability for damage caused by an installation that does not
comply with regulations or that does not respect the usage stipulations.
3. In the case of an installation in a room above an inhabited space (for example, in an attic, loft, or
suspended ceiling), insulate the piping and install a retention tank with water drainage. Connection to the
sewage system is required in all cases.
To avoid excessive energy consumption, we recommend that you install the water heater as close
as possible to the hot water drawing points (preferably less than 8 metres).
Recommendations for installation in a bathroom: Water heater installations in bathrooms must be adapted
in line with applicable national regulations and standards (for example, NFC
15-100, RGIE).
Area classifications:
➢ Area 0: This is the interior area of the bathtub or shower tray.
➢ Area 1: This is the area outside the bathtub or shower tray that is limited on the one side by the vertical
cylindrical surface delineated by the edge of the bathtub or shower tray and on the other side by a
horizontal plane situated at 2.25 m from the bottom of the bathtub or shower tray.
➢ Area 2: This is the area outside area 1. It is limited by the vertical cylindrical surface 0.60 m from the
edge of the bathtub or shower tray and by a horizontal plane situated 2.25 m from the bottom of the
bathtub or shower tray.
➢ Area 3: This is the area outside area 2. It is limited by the vertical cylindrical surface 2.40 m from area 2
and by a horizontal plane situated 2.25 m above the bottom of the bathtub or shower tray.
