Mic Mixing
Using a microphone, you can mix the sound from the microphone with
the sound of a program source (record or tape).
2. Plug the microphone into the MIC jack.
5. Adjust the volume, balance and tone controls.

Recording a program source
Sound of a program source such as a record or broadcast can be recorded
onto a tape deck connected to the TAPE REC terminals.

Depress
the input selector that corresponds to the program source
(broadcast or record) which is to be recorded.
When
recording
phonograph
records, depress the PHONO
switch;
when recording off the air, depress the TUNER
switch; and when re-
cording sound from the component connected to the AUX terminals,
depress the AUX switch.
Start playing the program source.
Operate the tape deck and start recording.
Monitoring the recording
A recording can be monitored
only on a 3-head type of tape deck in
which the recording and playback
heads are separate. It is not possible
with a tape deck using a combind recording/playback head.

Depress the tape monitor switch on the tape deck to the TAPE posi-
tion.
Depress the TAPE-1
or TAPE-2
input selector switch in accordance
with the tape deck which is recording.
