CONTROL PANEL CHARACTERISTICS
The AEP10-009/TOP9 control panel is built to form part
of an automatic single leaf door and gate system, driven
by way of a single phase motor (230 Vac with
permanent condenser) without an encoder.
The opening and closing operations are controlled by ti-
me, and, optionally, by ends of travel.
General Characteristics
• Power supply 230Vac, 50Hz, earthed
• Control of travel by time (optionally, ends of travel
in opening and in closing)
• Motor torque regulation, with self-testing of the
triac
• Adjustable waiting time in automatic cycle
Notable characteristics
Garage light (T.LG)
The illumination time of the garage light can be progra-
mmed at between 3 and 120 seconds (using the T.LG
power meter). Time begins to count when operation
starts.
Flashing light
The light remains on during the opening and closing
operations.
The light goes off when the operation concludes. The
light goes off whenever operation is interrupted at a
specific point.
Slow down function (DIP8)
Function which reduces the speed of the motors when
approaching the opening and closing stoppers.
DIP8=ON: the motor does not reduce the speed
DIP8=OFF: the motor does not reduce the speed

This control panel is equipped with a slow down system
which reduces speed at the end of the opening and clo-
sing operations, in order to prevent impacts and bangs
to the gate.
If the VULCAN VUS operator is not used, additional
safety elements (photocells or strips) must be installed
to comply with the requirements of standard
EN 12453, or Dead Man mode should be selected.

Operation pre-warning function
(DIP2, TOP9 only)
This function delays the start of operation by three se-
conds, during which time the flashing light comes on to
warn us that operation is about to begin.
DIP2=ON:3 second warning
DIP2=OFF: no warning
Behaviour when connecting the power
supply
With the control panel now programmed, if the power
supply goes off and returns, pressing the control will
make the control panel carry out an opening operation,
regardless of the position of the gate.
