MAINTENANCE
Good maintenance will extend the life of the machine. Prolonged or constant use may require more intensive
maintenance for the machine to continue to function properly.
ATTENTION: Make sure the machine is completely turned off before performing any maintenance
or repair. This will eliminate any potential risks.
LUBRICATION
Lubricate the arm bearings every 50 hours of use (Fig. 11).
1.
Turn the saw sideways and remove the two bearing covers.
2.
Spray a generous amount of SAE 20 oil (light motor oil, not supplied) around
the shaft and bearing and let the oil soak overnight.
3.
Repeat the above procedure for the opposite side of the saw.
DISASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION OF THE BLADE
This saw uses pinpoint saw blades and smooth blades. Pinpoint blades can provide faster cutting in a variety of
materials, however, they are thicker than the smooth type.
ATTENTION:
• Always install the blades with the teeth pointing downward and toward the front of the machine.
• Some blades may stretch slightly when used for the first time, if this happens, increase the
tension on the blade.
• Do not bend the blades during installation.
PINPOINT BLADES
1.
Remove the table stand (1), carefully lever the stand to lift it off the table, then rotate it and remove it from
the machine.
2.
Loosen the blade tension by turning the blade tension knob (2) to the left (counterclockwise) until there is
no tension left on the blade.
3.
Unhook the blade pins from the blade holder with lower holes (3) and from the blade holder with upper
holes (4) and remove the blade from the machine.
4.
Hook the lower replacement blade pin under the lower slotted blade holder (3), and the upper pin over the
upper slotted blade holder (4).
