5. Increase the blade tension by turning the blade tension knob (2) clockwise until the blade is straight.
6. Reassemble the table insert (1) and make sure it is flush with the table surface.

SMOOTH BLADES

1. Remove the table stand (1), carefully lever the stand to lift it off the table, then rotate it and remove it from
the machine.
2. Loosen the blade tension by turning the blade tension knob (2) to the left (counterclockwise) until there is
no tension left on the blade.
3. Unhook the blade holders (6) from the lower flat blade holder (3) and from the upper flat blade holder (4)
and remove the blade from the machine.
4. Loosen the pressure screw (5) securing the blade to the blade holders (6) and remove the blade.
5. Place the ends of the spare blade in the blade holders (6) and secure the blade by tightening the pressure
screws (5). Make sure that the blade is centered and that the ends of the blade do not protrude from the
holders as indicated in (7).
6. Hook the lower knife holder around the lower flat knife holder (3), and the upper knife holder around the
upper flat knife holder (4).
7. Increase the blade tension by turning the blade tension knob (2) clockwise until the blade is straight.
8. Reassemble the table stand (1) and make sure it is flush with the table surface.
