When illuminating heat-sensitive or flammable light-absorbing objects,
pay particular attention to selecting the distance of the light exit or the
lamp brightness so that no thermal damage occurs to the object. Since light-
absorbing materials have the physical property of converting incident light
into heat, damage can occur to heat-sensitive or flammable light-absorbing
materials.
•
Make sure that all unused light heads are always at a safe distance – at least
10 cm – from heat-sensitive or flammable light-absorbing materials when
the Spot Light is switched on (avoid possible fire hazard). Ensure the above
safe distance e.g. for dark/colored textiles and dark/colored wood or plastic
surfaces.
•
Reduce the brightness and duration of illumination of biological tissue to
that which is strictly necessary to avoid unnecessary exposure of biological
tissue to visible light illumination.
•
Safe disconnection from the power supply is only achieved by pulling out
the plug.
•
Do not open or disassemble the devices. Refrain from making technical
modifications to the devices. Repairs may only be carried out by the manu-
facturer or customer service centers authorized by the manufacturer.
