switch in the "closed" position as this may endanger
your safety and cause accidents.
Do not use this machine when you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating this machine
can cause serious personal injury.
Do not use this machine if any of its components are
damaged.
Never use the machine with defective protections, or
without safety devices.
Do not modify machine controls or engine speed
settings.
Remove all keys or hand tools from the machine and
work area before starting this machine. A key or tool
left near the machine may be touched by a moving
machine part and be thrown causing personal injury.
Don't overdo it. Keep your feet firmly on the ground
and maintain your balance at all times. Always
maintain proper footing and operate the machine only
when standing on a firm, secure, and level surface.
Slippery or unstable surfaces can cause a loss of
balance or control of the machine.
Dress appropriately. Never use this machine barefoot
or in sandals. Use this machine with sturdy shoes and
long pants.
Keep all parts of the body away from cutting elements
and moving parts when the machine is running.
Before starting the machine, make sure that the
cutting element is not in contact with any object. A
moment of carelessness during the operation of the
machine can cause your clothing or other part of the
body to be cut by the cutting element of the tool.
Always use the machine attached to the harness and
always hold the machine with your right hand on the
rear handle and your left hand on the front handle.
Use extreme caution when cutting weeds
and young shrubs. Fine materials can
be projected towards you, or cause you to lose control
balance.
Check the condition of the tree to prevent dry
branches from falling and hitting you while you cut.
When cutting a branch that is under tension, be alert
to the risk of springback. When the tension of the
wood fibers is released, the branch, under a spring
effect, can strike the operator and/or throw the mower
out of control.
If you are an inexperienced user we recommend that
you have minimal practice on a flat surface.
If the machine vibrates abnormally stop the engine,
inspect the machine for the possible cause and repair
it. If you cannot find the reason, take your machine to
your technical service.
Before leaving the machine unattended, turn it off,
wait for the cutting tool to stop, and disconnect it from
the battery.
When transporting the machine, hold it by the handle
with the machine switched off and away from body
parts. Proper handling will reduce the chance of
accidental contact with the cutting tool.
Store battery powered tools with the battery
disconnected and out of the reach of children.
2.2.1. CLOTHING AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry.
