The use of additional safety clothing and equipment
will reduce the risk of personal injury.
Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving
parts. Loose clothing, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
Never use this machine barefoot or in sandals. Use
this machine with sturdy shoes and long pants.
When using this tool, wear the following safety
equipment: safety glasses or protective visor.
We recommend you wear long pants to reduce the
risk of bodily harm from objects thrown by the cutting
tool.
The use of additional safety clothing and equipment
will reduce the risk of personal injury.
You must bring with you:
• Tools.
• Signaling tape for the work area.
• Mobile phone (To use in case of emergency).
23. WORK AREA SAFETY
Do not use this machine in explosive
atmospheres, as well as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases and dust.
Electrical machines create sparks that can ignite dust
or fumes.
The area within a radius of 15 meters
around the machine must be considered a
risk zone into which no one should enter while the
machine is running (safety zone). When necessary,
use ropes and warning signs to mark the safety zone.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating
this machine. Distractions can cause you to lose
control. Make sure that children, people or animals do
not enter your work area.
When the work must be carried out simultaneously by
two or more people, always check the presence and
location of the others in order to maintain a sufficient
distance between each person to ensure safety.
Keep the work area clean and work in good lighting.
Only use this machine in daylight or good artificial
lighting. Cluttered and dark areas cause accidents.
Inspect and remove all objects that could cause
damage to you or the machine.
Inspect the work area and remove all stones, wood,
wire, and foreign objects that could be thrown by the
cutting tool.
2.4. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Use only Garland batteries for this machine. Use only
the Garland charger to charge Garland batteries.
Using a different battery or charger may cause battery
explosion and risk of fire.
Be sure to connect the charger to a 230V, 50Hz DC
power supply.
The electrical plug of the charger of this machine
must coincide with the base of the power outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way. Unmodified plugs
and matching bases will reduce the risk of electric
shock.
When using the battery charger, avoid body
contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes,
radiators, electric stoves, and refrigerators. There
