power. The machine's own weight will be enough to
make the cut. If the chain locks up, do not try to pull
the machine while it is running. Stop the mower and
use a wedge to free the mower.
CUTTING A BRANCH OF A TREE
To cut a tree branch that is not
touching the ground, always
start with a cut of ¼ of the
diameter of the branch from
the bottom (1) and then cut the
rest from the top (2).
In this way you will facilitate
the opening of the cut and the
branch to crack, damaging the tree.
Cut long branches into several pieces starting from
the outside of the branch (farthest from the center of
the tree).
If you have to cut different branches from a tree, cut
the lower branches first to give you room to access
the higher branches.
Recommendation: It is convenient not to make the last
cut with the weight of the branch. It is recommended
to cut the branch and leave a last cut "end cut" (3) for
the end. Between the last "normal" cut and the "end
cut" there should be a distance of 5-10 cm. The end
cut will be made slowly from top to bottom to avoid
splitting the wood.
6.4.1. SHARPENING THE CHAIN
The chain of the chain saw becomes dull as cuts are
made. If you observe any of the following symptoms it
is time to sharpen the chain:
• More effort is required to make the cut.
• The cutting path is not straight.
• Vibrations increase.
• When cutting, sawdust is produced instead of chips.
To sharpen the chain, follow the instructions in point
7.1.2. "Sharpening of the chain cutting teeth".
6.5. CUTTING WITH THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Hold the machine with your left hand on the
handlebars and your rear hand on the grip so that you
can operate the controls (throttle and safety switch)
with your right hand. A firm grip on the machine by the
handles will reduce the risk of kickback and increase
your control over the machine.
Warning!: To reduce the risk of loss of control and
possible injury (even death) to the user or bystanders,
never operate this machine with one hand or make
cuts that require lifting the machine by hand. above
shoulder height.
We recommend that you train with small bushes in an
easy position to gain experience before tackling more
complicated cuts.
Always start the hedge trimmer before inserting the
blade into the area to be cut.
Start the cut at full throttle and always keep the
machine at full speed during the cut.
Once the hedge trimmer is running, insert the blade
into the hedge up to the plane in which you want to
make the cut and make wide fan movements. If you
slightly tilt the blade in the cutting direction you will
get better cutting results.
If, while cutting, the blade becomes blocked by
material, stop the machine immediately. Before
proceeding to unlock the blade:
- Make sure that the machine is stopped, the spark
plug disconnected and that the blade is stopped.
- Check that the temperature of the blade is not high.
