9. THE SKIN TONE SENSOR
The skin tone sensor measures the melanin in your skin and will only flash if a valid skin
tone is detected (please see skin tone chart for guidance). SmoothSkin Pure Mini Lite will
only flash if a safe skin tone can be determined.
The status of the skin tone sensor can be seen on the small light located above the
activation button on top of the handset. If a safe skin tone is detected, the light will
illuminate WHITE. If the device cannot detect a safe skin tone the light will illuminate RED.
