1. Installation of the Ballast Eco
1.
Mount the Ballast Eco on the wall with the supplied
mounting kit.
2.
First put the plugs of the lamps into the outlets of
the Ballast Eco.
3.
After that, connect the plug of the Ballast Eco to a
230V outlet (minimum 10A).
4.
Ready!
ATTENTION: If you change plugs when the relay is
on, the relay can be damaged. Therefore, switch off
the relay via the "Off function" (see section 4)
before connecting or removing the plugs of lamps.
2. Operation of the Ballast Eco
The Ballast Eco is intended for the controlled switching
of 2 lamps (2 x 600W) for 24 hours. This 24-hour cycle is
continuously repeated in "Clock function" mode,
except:
if you change the mode settings;
•
if there has been a power failure or if the fuse is
•
broken. In such a situation, the settings are saved.
You only need to adjust the current time.
3. Control and set the Ballast Eco
You can complete all settings with the dial, which
rotates clockwise.
3.1 Set time
You can set the current time by turning the dial
clockwise. The small gray hand indicates the hours, the
upper white hand indicates the minutes. The black ring
with the numbers 6, 9 and 12 serves as a dial.
Example
It is half past two in the afternoon. You rotate the dial
until the gray hand is between the 2 and the imaginary 3
(opposite of the 9), and the white hand is at the 6.

3.2 Set intervals
The 24-hour ring has small pins that can be pushed out
to activate the relay according to a certain pattern. Each
pin represents 15 minutes. This 24-hour cycle is
continuously repeated in "Clock function" mode.
Example
If the relay has to be on from 10:15 - 11:00 a.m., push
the 3 pins between 10 and 11 outwards. If you want to
activate the relay from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., push the 4 pins
from 21:00 to 21:45 outwards.
3.3 Set function/mode
The dial of the Ballast Eco has a red slider to select one
of the next options:
"Clock function": in this mode, the relay is
•
continuously switched on and off according to your
24-hour cycle settings.
"On function": the relay remains switched on
•
continuously.
"Off function": the relay is switched off.
•
4. Switch off the relay (MANUALLY)
If you want to switch off the relay, because you want to
change plugs, go through the following steps:
1. Set the slider to "Off function".
2. Change the plugs.
