OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
• Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1 along with
hearing protection. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes and
other possibly serious injuries.
• Wear non-skid, protective footwear that will protect your feet and improve your footing on
slippery surfaces.
• Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this
product. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended can result in serious
personal injury.
• Contact your local utility for underground service marking before using this product to avoid
contact with underground utilities.
DANGER
• To reduce the risk of electrocution, never use the auger near any buried electrical power
cables. Contact with or use near buried electrical power cables may cause serious injury or
electric shock resulting in death.
• To reduce the risk of explosion, never use the auger near any buried gas lines, including
water lines and pipes. Contact with or use near buried water or gas lines may result in
bursting of water lines and explosion from gas lines which may cause serious injury or
death.
3. To Attach Battery Pack (fig. 3)
a. Align the mounting grooves on the battery pack
with the raised ribs in the earth auger's battery
port, as shown.
b. Slide the battery pack into the machine until it
snaps into position.
NOTICE: Make sure that the latch on the earth
auger snaps into place and the battery pack is
secured to the machine before beginning operation.
Improper assembly of the battery pack can cause
damage to internal components.
