• Do not touch the auger bit when the product is switched on.
d. Lift the machine above the surface. Press and hold the lock-off button forward and
squeeze the switch trigger.
e. Allow the auger to gain full speed.

Lower the auger into the surface maintaining the 90° angle. Allow the auger to bite into the
material, letting the auger do the work (Fig. 7).
g. As the auger begins to fill with debris, it is important to constantly clear it to produce a
clean cut and reduce the amount of effort required –while the auger is operating at full
speed, slowly lift it from the hole and allow the debris to clear from the auger.
h. After using this machine, release the trigger switch and allow the auger to come to a
complete stop.
7. Tips for Using the Machine
• Pressing excessively on the machine will not
speed up the digging. Excessive pressure will
only serve to damage the tip of the auger bit,
decrease the machine performance, and shorten
the service life of the machine.
• When digging a deep hole or digging in clay soil,
do not try to dig at once. Dig the hole by lifting up
and down the machine so that the loose soil in
the hole can be discharged.
• If the rotation speed of the machine slows down
due to high load operation, lift the machine up
little, and move the machine up and down to dig
in small steps.
• A stuck auger bit can be removed simply by setting the direction-of-rotation selector (F) to
reverse rotation in order to back out. When reversing, brace the machine by your body to
prevent a clockwise reaction.
