OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To Detach Battery Pack
WARNING
• Always be aware of the location of your feet, children, or pets when pressing the
battery-release button. NEVER remove the battery pack at a high position. Serious
injury could result if the battery pack falls.
a. Hold the battery pack in the palm of your hand.
b. Press the battery-release button with your thumb; the battery pack will disengage from the
latch.
c. Grasp the battery pack and remove it from the machine.
4. To Start/Stop the Auger (fig. 4)
To turn the machine ON, press and hold the lock-off
button (A) and then squeeze the trigger switch (B).
To turn the earth auger OFF, release the trigger
switch and allow the auger to come to a complete
stop.
5. To Select the Rotation Direction (Forward/
Reverse) (fig. 5)
The direction of the auger rotation is reversible and
is controlled by the direction-of-rotation selector
(F) located on the right handle (C). With the auger
held in normal operating position, set the direction-
of-rotation selector to the mark "R" for digging in
reverse. Position the selector to the "1" for forward,
low speed. Set the direction of rotation selector to
"2" for forward, high speed.
