Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (04/1) into the battery slot
(04/2) until it engages (04/a).
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the unlocking button (04/3) on
the battery.
2. Pulling out the battery (04/b).
6 OPERATION
WARNING! Danger if assembly is not
carried out completely! Use of an incompletely
assembled appliance can result in serious injury.

Operate the appliance only when it is fully as-
sembled!
■
Do not insert the battery into the appliance
until it is fully assembled!
6.1
Setting the cutting height (08)
CAUTION! Danger of lacerations. Danger
of lacerations when reaching into the running
mower mechanism.
■
Only adjust the cutting height when the motor
is switched off and the mower mechanism is
stationary.
The cutting height can be adjusted in 3 steps be-
tween 30 and 50 mm. This allows the cutting
height to be adjusted as required for the work.
1. Adjusting the cutting height adjustment wheel
(08/1):
■
For short lawns, turn the cutting height
adjustment wheel (08/1) to minimum lev-
el 1: approx. 30 mm (08/a).
■
For longer lawns, turn the cutting height
adjustment wheel (08/1) to maximum lev-
el 3: approx. 50 mm (08/b).

Mowing with the cordless mulching
mower (06, 07)
NOTE Align the handlebar in a straight line
with the appliance so that the locking slider can
be pushed into the upper position.
The locking slider (06/1, 07/1) can be used to
lock and unlock the swivel joint on the cordless
mulching mower.
If the locking slider is pushed up or down (06/a,
07/a), it remains in this position.
Mowing in straight lines (06)

If the locking slider (06/1) is in the upper posi-
tion, the swivel joint is locked.

The handlebar can be moved in one direction
(06/b):
■
Vertical movement: 0° - 100°
■
The cordless mulching mower can be steered
in a straight line.
Flexible mowing (06, 07)
■
If the locking slider (06/1) is in the lower posi-
tion, the swivel joint is unlocked.
■
The handlebar can be moved flexibly in all di-
rections (06/b, 07/b):
■
Vertical movement: 0° - 100°
■
Horizontal movement: approx. 45° to the
left and right
■
The cordless mulching mower can be steered
in curves.
6.3
Switching the machine ON and OFF (09)
Switching on the machine
NOTE The machine can only be operated in
working position.
1. Move the handlebar to working position (see
chapter 6.6 "Working positions (05)",
page 31).
2. Press release buttons (09/1) (09/a).
3. Press ON/OFF switch (09/2) (09/b) and re-
lease the release buttons.
Switching off the machine
1. Release the ON/OFF switch.
6.4
Checking the battery charge status (10)
The battery charge status indicator (10/1) con-
sists of 4 LEDs (10/2). The LEDs have a steady
green light and go out one after the other as the
battery charge level decreases.
LED
4 LEDs are lit.
3 LEDs are lit.
2 LEDs are lit.
1 LED is lit.

Wall bracket (11)
The cordless mulching mower can be hung up on
a vertical surface – e.g. wall or board – using the
hanging hole (11/1) in the handle.

Battery 75% charged.
Battery 50% charged.
