A Epilation
Make sure the epilation head (2) is clean.
Depending on model, attach one of the
caps:
Massage roller cap (1): for best comfort
Skin contact cap (7): for increased effi-
ciency
Dry usage: Your skin must be free from
grease or cream.
Wet usage: Make sure your skin is well
wetted to achieve optimum gliding condi-
tions.
Always stretch your skin while epilating.
Hold the appliance at a right angle (90°)
and guide it in a slow, continuous motion
against the hair growth in the direction of
the switch.
Legs: When epilating behind the knee,
keep the leg stretched out straight.
Sensitive areas: First clean and carefully
dry sensitive areas to remove residues
(like deodorant). Use speed 1. When epi-
lating the underarm, keep your arm
raised up and guide the appliance in dif-
ferent directions.
Beginner cap (8) for first time users:
combines epilation and shaving to help
getting used to hair removal from the
root. It has been designed for wet usage
on legs only. Always apply shave foam or
gel on your wet skin when using the begin-
ner cap.
12
In the beginning phase (first 4 weeks),
use the epilator with the beginner cap
once a week to epilate and shave. Take
special care on bony, uneven skin areas
in order to avoid injuries caused by the
blades. Between usages, rinse off the
foam built up on the beginner cap.
After 4 weeks, you will be used to hair
removal and can switch to epilation using
the skin contact or massage cap.
If you want to continue to use the begin-
ner cap, make sure to replace it after 12
usages (or in case the blade shows signs
of wear, kinks, or damage).
Epilation tips
• If you have not used an epilator before,
it may take some time for your skin to
adapt to epilation. In the beginning,
epilate on a weekly basis to help
reduce the discomfort.
• First time users should epilate in the
evening so that reddening can disap-
pear overnight. To relax the skin, we
recommend applying a moisturizing
cream after epilation.
• Epilation is easier and more comforta-
ble when the hair is between 0.5–3 mm
long. If hairs are longer, we recom-
mend that you shorten them.
• Exfoliation avoids ingrown hairs and
provides optimum conditions for epila-
tion.
Cleaning the epilation head
After use, turn off the appliance and
clean the epilation head:
Remove the cap (1, 7 or 8). Brush out the
tweezers while turning the tweezer ele-
ment manually. Press the release button
(5) to take off the epilation head. Gently
tap it to remove hairs from inside the head.
If a thorough clean is needed (e.g. after a
wet usage with gel), hold the epilation
head under hot running water. Shake off
remaining water and re-attach in dry con-
dition.
