Operation in the limit range
The pump can briefly be operated in the limit range (max. 15 min/day). During operation in
the limit range, expect relatively large deviations from the operating data. NOTICE! Contin-
uous duty in the limit range is prohibited! The pump is exposed to high wear and there is
a greater risk of failure!
The following parameters apply during operation in the limit range:
▪ Operating voltage (+/-10 % of the rated voltage)
▪ Frequency (+3/- 5 % of the rated frequency)
▪ Current consumption between the individual phases (max. 6 %)
▪ Voltage difference between the individual phases (max. 2 %)
▪ Operation/control: Operating personnel must be trained in the operating principle of the
complete system.
▪ Electrical work: A qualified electrician must carry out the electrical work.
▪ Installation-/dismantling work: The technician must be trained to handle the necessary tools
and required fastening materials for the present building site.
▪ Locally applicable accident prevention and trade association safety provisions.
▪ Observe all regulations for working with and underneath heavy suspended loads.
▪ Make available the required protective equipment and ensure that the personnel wear the
protective equipment.
▪ Ensure sufficient aeration in closed rooms.
▪ If toxic or suffocating gases build up, immediately initiate countermeasures!
During decommissioning the pump is switched off, but remains installed. This ensures that
the pump is always ready for operation.
‡
In order that the pump is protected from frost and ice, always completely immerse the
pump in the fluid.
‡
The temperature of the fluid must always be above +3 °C (+37 °F).
1. Switch off the pump at the operating point.
2. Secure the operating point against unauthorized switch-on (e.g. seal off the main
switch).
▶ The pump is out of service and can now be disassembled.
If the pump remains installed after decommissioning, observe the following points:
▪ Ensure requirements for decommissioning for the complete time period of decommission-
ing. If the requirements are not guaranteed, remove the pump following decommissioning!
▪ In the case of an extended time period of decommissioning, carry out a 5 minute test run
(monthly to quarterly) at regular intervals. CAUTION! Test runs must only take place under
the applicable operating conditions. Never run the machine dry! This can result in total
failure!
DANGER
Danger due to fluids which are hazardous to health!
When the pump is used in fluids which are hazardous to health, decontaminate the pump
after removal and before all work! There is a risk of fatal injury! Observe information from
the work regulations! The operator must ensure that the personnel have received and
read the work regulations!
