12. Pay attention to tool maintenance requirements.
Keep tools clean so they function properly and safely. Follow standard maintenance
procedures. Check the cables and extensions on the tool regularly. If they are damaged,
contact an authorised service technician for the corresponding repairs. Keep the handle
dry, clean and free of grease and oil.
13. Unplug the tools.
Unplug the tools whenever they are not being used or for performing maintenance.
14. Avoid accidental power on situations.
Never carry a tool that is plugged in with your finger on the power switch. Turn off the
power switch before plugging it in.
15. Stay alert.
Use common sense. Pay attention to your work. Do not use the tool when you are too
tired.
16. Check to see if any parts are damaged.
Before using the tool, check to see if any parts are damaged to guarantee safe operation.
Check the alignment of moving parts to see whether any are broken, to make sure they are
attached properly, whether the tool is assembled correctly and any other condition that
might affect safe operation. Any damaged protective device or part should be replaced
or repaired by an authorised service technician. Do not use the tool if the power switch
does not turn on or off correctly. Have an authorised service technician replace the switch
if it is faulty.
17. Warning.
The use of any accessory other than those recommended in this manual may increase the
risk of personal injury.
18. Damaged power cord.
If the power cord is damaged, this should only be replaced by the manufacturer or the
technical service indicated by the distributor. In either case, they should be qualified to
perform this task.
