INSTALLATION on top of Exo Terra Natural Terrariums or on top of
the screen mesh of other terrariums.
1. Unpack the TerraSky UV and verify that all components of the
light fixture are undamaged before putting it into operation.
2. Position the TerraSky UV on your Terrarium above the terrarium
screen mesh, so the light and UV can penetrate through the
screen mesh (UVB rays cannot penetrate glass). On Exo Terra
Natural Terrariums, the mounting brackets can be secured
between the outer terrarium rim and the screen top (see image
A). For installation on regular terrariums, simply place the
TerraSky UV on the terrarium and adjust the extendable brackets
so they press against the outside of the terrarium rim. (see
image B)
3. Connect the connector of the power adaptor to the connector
of the fixture.
4. Connect the plug of the power adaptor to the wall receptacle.
INSTALLATION inside a terrarium with a perforated aluminum
ventilation strip
ATTENTION: to install the TerraSky UV in a terrarium with a
perforated aluminum ventilation strip, you need the TerraSky UV
LED Mounting Clips (PT2434 - sold separately).
1. Unpack the TerraSky UV and verify that all components of the light
fixture are undamaged before putting it into operation.
2. Determine the position, on the inside of the terrarium, where on
the perforated aluminum ventilation strip you want to install the
TerraSky UV, and mark the spot on both ends with a wax pencil
or other marker.
3. For a secure suspension, position both Mounting Clips
approximately 2" or 5 cm to the inside from each end of the

fixture, and mark the spot for the drill hole.
4. Drill a hole (same size as the mounting hole in the clip) in the
ventilation strip at both marked locations.
5. Use a bolt and nut of the appropriate size (not included), and if
necessary a washer on each side, in the 2 pre-drilled mounting
holes, to tighten the Mounting Clips on the aluminum ventilation
strip.
6. Position the long side of the TerraSky UV into one side of both
clips and snap the fixture in place. Ensure the fixture is securely
fastened in the clips before proceeding to the next step.
7. Connect the connector of the power adaptor to the connector of
the fixture.
8. Connect the plug of the power adaptor to the wall receptacle.
INSTALLATION inside a wooden vivarium
ATTENTION: to install the TerraSky UV in a wooden Vivarium,
you need the TerraSky UV LED Mounting Clips (PT2434 - sold
separately).
1. Unpack the TerraSky UV and verify that all components of the light
fixture are undamaged before putting it into operation.
2. Determine the position, on the inside of the Vivarium, where under
the top lid you want to install the TerraSky UV, and mark the spot
on both ends with a wax pencil or other marker.
3. For a secure suspension, position both Mounting Clips
approximately 2" or 5 cm to the inside from each end of the
fixture, and mark the spot for the self tapping screws.
4. Hold the Mounting Clip in place on the inside of the wooden
vivarium's top lid and use self tapping screws (included) of the
appropriate size to fix both clips. CAUTION: Make sure the self
tapping screws are shorter than the thickness of the wooden
vivariums' top lid to avoid the screws from piercing through the
wooden top lid.
5. Screw the self tapping screws through the mounting holes into
the wooden vivariums top lid to tighten the Mounting Clips.
6. Position the long side of the TerraSky UV into one side of both
clips and snap the fixture in place. Ensure the fixture is securely
fastened in the clips before proceeding to the next step.
7. Connect the connector of the power adaptor to the connector of
the fixture.
8. Connect the plug of the power adaptor to the wall receptacle.
REMOTE CONTROL
1. Open the battery compartment, located on the back of the
remote control, by squeezing and holding the "release tab" while
gently opening the battery cover. Place 2 AAA Alkaline batteries
and gently click the battery cover back into the slot.
2. Point the remote control in the direction of the TerraSky UV, and
push the ON/OFF button.
Remote Control Keypad Functions
A. The ON/OFF button will initially power all LED channels to
100%. After adjusting LED channel settings, the ON/OFF button
will always power the LED channels in the last used setting.
B. 3 Seasonal Cycle buttons: Spring & Autumn (12 hour), Summer
(14 hour) and Hibernation (8 hour).
C. In the Seasonal Cycle section, there's 2 specific Seasonal Cycle
Nighttime buttons: New Moon and First & Third Quarter.
Remember: when using the Seasonal Cycle timer setting, only the
Seasonal Cycle "nighttime settings" can be individually adjusted!
All regular buttons will remain unresponsive when pressed.
D. To terminate the Seasonal Cycle Settings and return the
TerraSky UV to default mode, simply press the ON/OFF button to
shut off the TerraSky UV. When you press the ON/OFF button once
again, the TerraSky UV will relight the LED channels according
to the last used setting and the seasonal cycle setting will no
longer apply.
E. The UVA button powers the Ultraviolet A LED channel at 100%
and shuts of all other LED channels.
F. The UVA "+" and "-" buttons increase/decrease the UVA LED
channel with 10% increments/decrements with each push of the
button. Pressing and holding the "+" and "-" will speed up the
dimming process. The UVA "+" and "-" buttons will not alter the
other LED channel settings.
G. The UVB button powers the Ultraviolet B LED channel at 100%
and shuts of all other LED channels.
H. The UVB "+" and "-" buttons increase/decrease the UVB LED
channel with 10% increments/decrements with each push of the
button. Pressing and holding the "+" and "-" will speed up the
dimming process. The UVB "+" and "-" buttons will not alter the
other LED channel settings.
I. The W button powers the Bright White 6500K LED channel at
100% and shuts of all other LED channels.
J. The W "+" and "-" buttons increase/decrease the Bright White
LED channel with 10% increments/decrements with each push
of the button. Pressing and holding the "+" and "-" will speed up
the dimming process. The W "+" and "-" buttons will not alter the
other LED channel settings.
