5.5. OVERHEAT PROTECTION
If the dust bin is too full, the filters are too dusty, or a large object is inadvertently
suctioned, the overheat protection may activate and switch off the vacuum cleaner.
In this event, turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet immediately.
Allow the appliance to cool down for 1 hour before turning it on again. Empty the
dust bin. Check for blockages (→ CLEARING A BLOCKAGE). The safety device will
automatically reset when the vacuum cleaner is turned on again.
5.6. CLEARING A BLOCKAGE
If the vacuum cleaner suddenly switches off or you feel a sudden slowdown in suction
power, turn off and unplug the vacuum cleaner immediately.

Check whether the dust bin (11) is full, misplaced, or needs cleaning.
If the dust bin is not full, check whether the pre-motor filters (22 and 23) or air outlet

filter (24) need cleaning or replacement.

Check for blockages. Remove the suction hose (6) from the vacuum cleaner, and
detach the telescopic tube (20) and cleaning tool (1, 2, 4, 5, 16 or 17). Carefully
check inside the hose receptacle (9), suction hose (6), telescopic tube (20), and
cleaning tool individually for any obstruction and remove it.
6. CLEANING AND CARE
WARNING: Before any cleaning or maintenance, unplug the appliance from
the power socket.
WARNING: To avoid electric shock or injury, never immerse the appliance,
power cord or plug in water or any liquids. Do not rinse them under the tap.
IMPORTANT: Never use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire
brushes, sharp objects, or scouring pads to clean the appliance.
Empty the dust bin regularly. Do not allow contents to exceed the "MAX" level mark.
Check the dust bin (11) and pre-motor filters (22 and 23) regularly. Clean them as
recommended (→ DUST BIN AND PRE-MOTOR FILTERS).
Check the air outlet filter (24) occasionally and clean it as recommended. (→ AIR
OUTLET FILTER).
Do not clean the filters in a dishwasher or washing machine. Do not use a hair dryer
to dry the filters.
Empty the contents in a rubbish bin (Fig. 16).

Close the lid and reattach the dust bin to the vacuum
cleaner.
