3. DETAILED RULES OF SAFETY
3.1. Wet Stone Polisher MSW – WET900L / MSW – WET900S:
•
Accessories used with this tool must be rated for at least 4000 RPM.
•
Check backer pad end polishing discs for damage before operating replace damaged pad/discs immediately prior to
use.
•
When using tool, always wear safety glasses.
•
Do not use this tool with wood or metal cutting blades.
•
Hold tool firmly at all times.
•
Keep hands away from moving parts.
•
Make sure the work piece is adequately supported.
•
Do not touch work place immediately after polishing. It may be very hot.
•
Wear rubber gloves and boots for protection against electric shock.
•
Make sure that no water is entering the motor.
Always use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) with this tool.
3.2. Burnishing Machine MSW – BUR900S:
The power tool must be held by the isolated handles. In some situations, the power cord may be damaged by the sanding
disc; this may lead to cases when the metal parts of the power tools will be under voltage. This is very dangerous while the
operator may get an electric shock.
When sanding metal, electric sparks may occur. During work please ensure that nobody is in the danger area. Due to the
danger of fire, all combustible and flammable materials should be removed from the workplace.
Regularly clean the power tool by blowing compressed air through the ventilation slots. Rotating motor draws dust into
the interior of the power tool, and an accumulation of metal dust may cause an electric shock hazard.
There are some factors that may be a threat to health:
•
dust coatings containing lead
•
dust of certain species of wood / minerals (oak and beech dust in conjunction with substances for woodworking are
carcinogenic)
•
certain types of metal powders
•
Avoid physical contact with all environmental impacts mentioned above as inhalation of the dust may cause allergies
or respiratory disease.
•
Asbestos and materials containing asbestos can be handled only by persons trained in this field.
•
If it is possible, the dust extraction devices should be used.
8
•
The work place must be well ventilated.
•
The use of a dust mask of filter class P2 is recommended.
National requirements for the treatment materials you want to work with must be followed.
Processed material should be securely and properly fastened. Do not hold the workpiece in hands – it is safer to secure
the item in the mounting bracket / vise.
The power tool should always be guided with both hands holding the appropriate handles. Loss of control of the power
tool may result in personal injury.
Hands must be kept away from rotating parts or the sanding belt of the power tool.
Removing dust from sanding can be performed only if the device is switched off and disconnected from the power source.
Before any activities related to the adjustment, tapes replacement or servicing, please unplug the power cord from the
power outlet.
