TAPE PLAYBACK
MUSIC SENSOR
If there is a 4-second or longer blank between each track, it is
easy to search for the beginning of the current or next track during
Playback.
When the P side of the <4
button is illuminated
Press the P
button to move to the next track or the <#@ button
to move to the beginning of the current track.
When the <4 side of the <4 button Is illuminated
Press the «#4 buiton to move to the next track, or the PP button
to move to the beginning of the current track.
The search function uses a music sensor that may not be able
to detect tracks for tapes with:
* blanks of less than 4 seconds between tracks.
* noisy blanks.
* long passages of low-end sound.
* low overall recording levels.
About cassette tapes
* To prevent accidental erasure, break off the plastic tabs on
the cassette tape after recording with a screwdriver or other
pointed tool. +

To record on the tape again, cover the tab openings with
cellophane tape, etc. (On Cre tapes, take care not to cover
the CrOz tape detection siot ©.)
*120-minute or longer tapes are extremely thin and easily
deformed or damaged. They are not recommended,
+ Take up any slack in the tape with a pencil or similar tool before
use. Slack tape may break or jam in the mechanism. > [E]
