When restarting
a saw in the work piece, center the saw blade in the kerr and
check that saw teeth are not engaged
Into the msterlal.
If saw blade is binding,
it
may walk up or KICKBACK from the work piece as the saw is restarted.
Support
large panels to minimize
the risk of blade pinching
end KICKBACK.
Large panels tend to sag under their own weight. Supports must be pisced under the
panel on both sides near the line of cut and near the edge of the panel.
Do not use dull or damaged
blade. Unsharpened
or improperly set b_ades produce
nan'ow kerfs causing excessive friction, blade binding and KICKBACK.
Blade depth and bevel adjusting
locking levers must be tight and secure
before making cut. If t_ade adjustment shifts while cutting, it may cause binding and
KICKBACK.
Use extra caution
when making
a "pocket
cut" into existing
walls or other
blind areas. The protruding bfede may cut objects that can cause KICKBACK.
Do not use blades made of high-allay, high-speed steel (HSS).
Do not usa the circular
saw near fumes or combustible
liquids.
Secure small pieces
of wood firmly before
working.
Never hold them in your
hand.
Never slow the blade down with your hands or by applying
pressure
to the
side of the blade.
