CONNECTING THE GAS HEATER TO THE CHIMNEY
Before connecting the heater to a chimney, to which another heater has been connected, the chimney shall first be swept thoroughly. For
the connection to the chimney, use an exhaust pipe with a minimum diameter of 100 mm and insert it in the exhaust stub.
Heater Assembly (fig.3)
Unwrap the heater (fig.A). First unlock the upper door by unscrewing and removing the bottom screw (see fig.B). Open the door and
carefully remove the box containing the logs and the vermiculite. Now first remove the door by pushing it upwards (see fig.C).
Subsequently, remove the bottom service door by removing the pin (see fig.D). Then, disassemble the burner by removing the
fastening screw (see fig.E ). The burner can now be shifted to the left and removed from the combustion chamber. For the Lucia 77
B and Lucia 77 F models, first remove the left-hand vermiculite box to shift the burner to the left and to remove it. The adjusting
unit can now be disassembled by removing the 2 fastening bolts (see fig.F). ATTENTION!! Before removing the adjusting unit, first
remove the 2 terminals for the TTG (thermal temperature guard) (see fig. G). Now remove the 2 bolts fastening the combustion
chamber (see fig. H). The combustion chamber can now be removed from the casing by pulling it in your direction (see fig.I). The
connecting piece (see fig. J) can now be disassembled by removing the 4 fastening screws at the inside of the casing. Now put the
casing at the desired place. (see fig. K). When making the connection, insert the pipe through the casing (see fig.L). The pipe is
fastened to the connection piece (see fig.M) and is pushed upwards in the casing and fastened with the 4 fastening screws (see
fig.N). Now assemble the heater by following the above-described steps in reverse order from (fig.I.). In case sealings might have
been damaged when disassembling the heater, they shall be replaced.
Before locking the door, first spread the vermiculite on the logs.
Finally, install the frame supplied with the heater (O).
Attention: always lock the door.
Replacement of the safety device
In case the safety device has to be replaced, follow the steps described under "Heater Assembly". The safety device is located at the
back of the combustion chamber (see fig.2).
Flue gases leaving the heater cannot be led downwards.
Important: If the chimney is coated with flammable material, all contact between that material and the gas fire and discharge pipe must
be avoided in order to prevent fire.
