Installing the Traction Assist
Handle
1. Stop the engine, and wait for all moving parts to stop,
and disconnect the wire from the spark plug.
2. Fasten the traction assist handle to the upper handle
clamp using 2 carriage bolts and locknuts (Fig. 1).
Ensure that the upper part of the traction assist handle
curves as illustrated in Figure 1.

3. Center the rear edge of the upper handle clamp in the
groove in the lawn mower handle (Fig. 2).

4. Place the lower handle clamp under the handle so that it
nests with the nuts on the upper handle clamp (Fig. 2).
5. Place 2 carriage bolts through both the upper and lower
handle clamps and secure the assembly using 2 locknuts
(Fig. 2).
6. Connect the wire to the spark plug.
