Using the Traction Assist
Handle
The traction assist handle (Fig. 3) allows you to use your
hands to control the speed of the mower instead of your
walking speed. This is helpful in situations, such as turning
tight corners, where you want the mower to move but
cannot move yourself. It is also useful for keeping the
mower at maximum speed.

1. Reach forward with your fingertips and grasp the
corners of the traction assist handle (Fig. 4).

2. Squeeze the 2 handles together until the lawn mower
achieves your desired ground speed (Fig. 4).
3. When you no longer need to use the traction assist
feature, release the traction assist handle.
Important The lawn mower will continue to
self-propel until you release the traction assist handle and
stop walking.
