26. MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION: the fan coil is connected
to the power supply and the hydraulic
circuit. Operations performed by persons
who do not have the required technical skills can
lead to personal injury to the operator or damage
to the unit and the surrounding environment.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
• Routine maintenance can be performed even
by the user. It consists in a series of simple
Interventions:
Weekly external cleaning, to be done with a damp
cloth (wet with water at a maximum of 40°C) and
neutral soap; do not use any other detergents or
solvents.
• Do not spray water on internal or external
surfaces of the fan coil (danger of short
circuits)..
• Periodic cleaning of the filter.
SPECIAL MAINTENANCE
Special maintenance must be performed only by
Aermec After-sales Service or by personnel with
the technical-professional skills for installation,
transformation, extension and maintenance of
the systems. Moreover, they must be able to
check the systems for safety and functionali-
ty purposes. In particular, electric connections
Interventions:
• Internal cleaning, every year or before long
downtimes. In environments where a high level
of air cleanliness is required, cleaning can be
more frequent. It consists in cleaning the coil,
the fan louvers, the tray and all parts in contact
with the treated air. Also check the state of the
filter. Clean it or replace it, if required.
Do not use sprays or jets of water for cleaning.

operations, thanks to which the fan coil can run
at maximum efficiency.
Frequent cleaning of the filter will ensure more
efficient operation.
Check if the filter is excessively dirty. Repeat the
operation more frequently, if required.
Clean often and use a suction device to remove
accumulated dust.
When the filter is clean, reassemble it onto the fan
coil by following the removal procedure in reverse
order.
require the following checks:
• Measurement of the electric system isolation
resistance.
• Continuity test of the protection wires.
• Special maintenance consists of a series of com-
plex operations that involve the removal of the
fan coil and its components, thanks to which
Use a brush to remove dust deposits.
• For repairs and fine-tunings when anomalies
are detected, refer to the "TROUBLESHOOTING"
chapter in this manual before contacting the
After-Sales Service.
• Removing the augers of the inspected fans (which can be carried out only by
qualified personnel) allows the internal parts to be cleaned accurately. This is
essential for installation in very crowded areas or that require high hygienic
standards.
CAUTION: Do not groped to ripare the unit your-
self, it is very dangerous!
• Visually check the state of the fan coil at every
maintenance intervention; every anomaly must
be communicated to the After-sales Service.
the conditions of maximum efficiency are re-
stored in the fan coil operation.
Make sure that the power supply has been
disconnected before carrying out any interven-
tions.
